Why am I in "Safe Mode" when I log into my.ironkey.com?

Logging into your IronKey account requires two-factor authentication; in other words, it takes more than a password to verify your identity, you must also have your IronKey drive with you.

For cases when you cannot log in with your IronKey drive (for example, if you lost your IronKey), you can log into "Safe Mode" with just your password. You will only be able to use a few features in Safe Mode, including the ability to mark your IronKey as lost and to recover your IronKey password if you chose to back it up.

To obtain full access again, you will need to log in from within your IronKey by clicking the "my.ironkey.com" button in the IronKey Control Panel.
