IronKey models S100, S200, D200, S250, D250, S1000, H300, and
H350.
If an "Application error (3019) Your IronKey secure volume is
unformatted" message appears when attempting to unlock the IronKey device,
corruption on the Secure Files volume might have occurred.
To resolve this issue:
- Insert and unlock the IronKey device. Click "OK" on the
error message.
- Open the Windows command prompt, and run the Check Disk utility on
the Secure Files volume drive letter (e.g., "CHKDSK D: /R /F").
- To recover data, you can use a third-party data recovery utility
(these are not supported by IronKey). Many tools are available online for
download; some are free.
- Reformat the Secure Files volume:
For S100, S200, D200: Click Settings > Preferences, and click the Reformat Secure Volume button.
For S250, D250, S1000, H300, H350: Click Settings > Tools, and
click the Reformat Secure Volume button.
**If the
IronKey cannot reformat the Secure Files volume, you can go to "Windows
Management" > "Disk Management" to force an unmount and
format the Secure Volume or use a third party low level format tool.
