The S200 devices use SLC (Single Layer Cell) memory which is faster and longer lasting (approximately 100,000 writes to each memory block).

The D200 devices use MLC (Multi Layer Cell) memory which is generally the type of memory that is found in the majority of flash memory products, but it is a little slower, and will not last as long (approximately 10,000 writes to each memory block).
