How can I safely remove my Defender device?

For the F100, F150, and F200 drives, close the browser and any application(s) which you were using to do read/write to the read-only or private partitions on your Defender device. Wait for few seconds to finish any read/write operation(s). There are two options: click on the Defender icon in the lower right of the System Tray and click “Eject” on the menu or click "Safely Remove or Eject Hardware" icon from the Windows task bar. Select the device and click on "Safely Remove" or “Eject” per the operating system. You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port after you see the message window "The USB Mass Storage device can now be safely removed from the system". For a Mac computer, drag the “Private” icon to the “Eject” position on the task bar.

For the Defender F50, close the Secure wrapper encryption window and use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the Windows task bar.
