Whom may I contact when an issue arises with devices that use the on-board anti-virus scanner?
When to contact IMS Technical Support:
- Client receives errors when trying to update DAT files from the McAfee Server.
- Anti-Virus licensing issues.
- DAT files will not update after successfully reaching the McAfee Server.
When to contact McAfee Directly:
- Scanner detects an issue that it cannot resolve or identifies a potential virus.
- Scanning errors such as "cannot scan file".
McAfee users can submit a virus and/or suspected false positive to McAfee Labs for analysis on-line by accessing the following link:
